[00:00] Hello, Team member!
It is a Sunday; I am feeling very casual. But I also want to share a few things with you about how to best use the life affirmations in nature. I hope you find this helpful. Why affirmations? I personally love them, even when they seem so crazy that there's no way it could be true about myself. What I found is the more that I say them, the more I start to believe them, which is why I'm always reminding you that you are amazing.
[00:31] There's a few different ways you could use them. You can just listen to them as they come out, or maybe there's something on your mind that you'd like to work on a little bit so you can look through and find one that would work a really fun thing to do if you want to believe the thing but are having trouble with it. If you find yourself resisting the thought that I'm saying in the affirmation,
[00:45] 1) Try an if-firmation of course I heard this on TikTok, I believe it was TikTokTramaDoc...that's fun to say, isn't it? She shared the idea of taking an affirmation and putting what if in front of it. It helps you to imagine the possibilities. What if you did believe the affirmation. So if you find an affirmation that you really, really want to believe for yourself, but you're having trouble. Take that what if put it before it, you can put it before every single line and see how it makes you feel. Get out a piece of paper, play with it, play with the thoughts and see how you can change them.
[01:34] 2) Another way to use the affirmations is to rewrite them. That's something that works for me, it's just the way my brain is you can talk to me and I might get what you're saying. But if you talk to me while I'm writing it down, I will remember it better. So maybe that's you. If that's the case, you'll notice that not only do I have the text in the video, but I also have the text below each video. And I recommend writing it over maybe on a sticky note, use it for the week, if you want to switch them out. You could start a journal, you could write it up, rip it up and change it.
I really suggest writing them down playing with them and finding statements that you believe please, please, please do not be afraid to adjust any of the text in the affirmations. Don't be afraid to play with anything that I give you this whole idea of becoming the conscious effective Olympian of your life, to noticing the thoughts, being conscious of what you're thinking is for you to find what works for you.
[02:33] 3) Okay, my top tip is to take an affirmation that you want to believe or that you do believe that you just want to get used to hearing yourself, say and record it in your own voice. Super powerful, because while it's great that you hear my voice in your head, I'd really rather you hear your own voice saying this about yourself because what we want is for you to become your own guidance system. If you have an iPhone, I believe it's Voice Memo might be Voice Recorder app super easy. Read it, record it, change it, have fun with it.
So those are my top ideas, but you might have something completely different and I'd love for you to share with me. So if you have an idea for this that I didn't think of that might work for someone else and it works really well for you. Definitely let us know. Thanks. And of course you are amazing. π
